This Privacy Policy explains how JooceChat ("JooceChat," "the Platform," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your information when you access, register for, or use the Platform.

By using JooceChat, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

• Name, username, email address, date of birth, password, profile picture, bio, and other account information you choose to provide.
• Information used to create or verify your account, including access codes, invitation details, registration information, and account eligibility information.
• Content you post, upload, share, or transmit through the Platform, including Jooces, posts, comments, images, videos, profile information, reactions, and other public or semi-public content.
• Communications between you and JooceChat, including support requests, emails, reports, feedback, and account-related messages.
• Subscription, billing, and payment-related information needed to manage paid features, memberships, verification, or subscriptions. Payment details may be processed by third-party payment providers.

We may also automatically collect certain information when you use the Platform, including:

• Log data, such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, referring URLs, timestamps, and error logs.
• Usage data, such as account activity, login activity, feature usage, interactions, posts viewed, buttons clicked, and general Platform activity.
• Security data, such as failed login attempts, suspicious activity, access-code misuse, fraud signals, and information used to protect the Platform.
• Cookies and similar technologies used for authentication, preferences, security, analytics, and Platform functionality.

3. Invite-Only Access and Access-Code Verification

JooceChat is an invite-only platform. To protect the security and integrity of the Platform, we may collect, store, review, and verify information related to invitations, access codes, account creation, registration attempts, and account activity.

This information may be used to confirm whether an account was created using a valid and authorized access code, detect unauthorized registrations, prevent fraud, investigate misuse, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the Platform from abuse.

If we determine that an account was created using an unauthorized, stolen, leaked, shared, purchased, duplicated, manipulated, fraudulent, or illegally obtained access code, we may suspend, restrict, disable, or delete the account in accordance with our Terms of Service.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Platform.
• Create, verify, manage, and authenticate user accounts.
• Verify access codes, invitations, account eligibility, and invite-only registration activity.
• Process subscriptions, payments, billing, verification, and account services.
• Send account-related communications, including login alerts, password reset emails, security notices, policy updates, and service messages.
• Send optional promotional communications, offers, updates, and announcements where permitted.
• Monitor and analyze trends, usage, performance, and Platform activity.
• Detect, investigate, prevent, and respond to fraud, spam, abuse, unauthorized access, access-code misuse, security incidents, and illegal activity.
• Enforce our Terms of Service, community standards, subscription terms, and other Platform rules.
• Comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, protect rights, and respond to lawful requests.

5. End-to-End Encryption

JooceChat may provide end-to-end encryption for direct messages or private chat features between users. This means certain private messages may be encrypted on your device before being sent and may only be readable by the intended participants.

• Private messages may be encrypted before transmission.
• JooceChat may not be able to view the plain-text content of encrypted messages.
• We may not store the encryption keys needed to decrypt encrypted private conversations.
• Message metadata, such as sender, recipient, thread ID, timestamps, delivery status, seen status, reactions, attachments, or technical logs, may still be collected or processed to operate, secure, and improve the Platform.

Although encrypted messages may be protected from access by JooceChat, users who receive messages may still copy, screenshot, record, save, forward, or share them outside the Platform. JooceChat cannot prevent other users from doing so.

6. Automatic Chat Deletion and Data Retention

Chat threads may automatically delete after 48 hours of inactivity or after another time period determined by JooceChat. Automatic deletion may remove certain chat content from active systems, but it may not immediately remove all copies from backups, logs, caches, security records, legal retention systems, or devices controlled by other users.

We may retain certain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our Terms of Service, prevent fraud, investigate abuse, protect users, maintain security, and preserve business records.

If your account is suspended, restricted, disabled, or deleted for violating our Terms of Service, including unauthorized account creation or access-code misuse, we may retain certain account information, security logs, registration records, payment records, access-code records, reports, and enforcement records as necessary for fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and Platform security.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We may share information with:

• Service Providers: Vendors and contractors who help us operate the Platform, including hosting providers, analytics providers, email providers, security services, customer support tools, and payment processors.
• Payment Processors: Third-party payment providers who process subscriptions, payments, refunds, taxes, fraud checks, billing records, and related transactions.
• Legal and Safety Purposes: When we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with law, legal process, court orders, government requests, enforce our Terms, prevent fraud, protect users, investigate abuse, or protect the rights, safety, and property of JooceChat or others.
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or transfer of all or part of our business.
• With Your Direction or Consent: When you choose to share information publicly, interact with other users, connect with another service, or otherwise direct us to share information.

We do not sell your personal data to third-party data brokers. Due to end-to-end encryption, we may not be able to access or disclose the plain-text content of encrypted private messages. However, we may disclose available account information, metadata, logs, public content, and other records when permitted or required by law.

8. Public Content and User Interactions

Some information you provide may be visible to other users, including your username, profile information, profile picture, public posts, comments, reactions, and other content you choose to share on the Platform.

Other users may view, copy, screenshot, download, save, share, or otherwise use information you make available to them. You should avoid posting sensitive information that you do not want others to access or share.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, session storage, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Platform, keep you logged in, remember your preferences, improve security, measure performance, analyze usage, and improve user experience.

You can usually set your browser to remove or reject cookies. However, disabling cookies or similar technologies may affect the functionality of the Platform, including login, authentication, security, and account features.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. These may include:

• End-to-end encryption for certain direct messages or private chat features.
• Encryption of certain data in transit and, where appropriate, at rest.
• Authentication, authorization, and account access controls.
• Monitoring for fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and suspicious activity.
• Security reviews, system updates, and reasonable technical protections.

However, no method of electronic transmission, storage, or security is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

11. Your Choices and Controls

• Account Information: You may update certain account information through your profile settings.
• Cookies: You may control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.
• Promotional Communications: You may opt out of promotional emails by following the instructions in those emails. You may still receive important account, security, legal, or service messages.

If we learn that a person under 18 has created an account or provided personal information, we may suspend, disable, delete, or restrict the account and related information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we may revise the effective date above. In some cases, we may provide additional notice, such as posting a notice on the Platform, sending an email, or displaying an in-app notification.

Your continued use of JooceChat after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the updated policy.
